SVN in a similar way has such a way of ignoring files. Normally it uses a different approach to ignore files;
If you are a git person and admire the .gitignore structure, you can take the similar action accordingly;
- In the root of the svn project create a file with an empty name and file extension is .svnignore, this can be a text file too, if you find this approach confusing like “svnignorelist.txt”,
- On the command line first issue this command(sequence is important); svn propset svn:ignore -F .svnignore . –recursive
- Accordingly issue this command; svn propset svn:ignore -F .svnignore .
and you are good to go 🙂
